This installation is placed in a play house, in the middle of a playground. Taking the form of a “child’s den,” the space incorporates themes of creativity and purity while the two performance video pieces “desert child” and “rock pollution” touch on themes of losing innocence and entering adulthood, which comes with the not-so-easy task of navigating relationships and personal boundaries. Guests are invited to walk into the small house and draw while sitting across from the TV. The contrast between these various elements highlights the ways that our inner child remains alive within us all, even as we grow older.
